In my new book with Deb Jones titled: Dog Sports Skills Book 3: Play!  we discuss a food play technique that uses food called "Prey hand game".  Those of you who have taken seminars with me may recognize this as "Wiggle Wiggle".  You can find it on page 198. To help readers visualize this food play technique with movement, here is a video of Brito and Lyra. This is one of my favorite ways to get a dog moving and it is extremely well suited to dogs that are tentative or who have lower food interest.  With the emphasis on quick finger movement, many dogs who enjoy prey activities more than food options really enjoy this. Note that this is a technique for building drive and energy, not precision.  Pick the reward strategy that makes sense for your dog!
